leucate plage
leucate beach is a 1 hour drive away from La Roueyre, but it’s worth it!! the water is crystal clear and you can find lovely coves to do some snorkelling. This is our favourite place for a beach trip!!
gruissan plage
Gruissan is a 50 minute drive from La Roueyre. It is voted one of the best beaches on the Aude coast, with its iconic chalets. Its serene, shallow waters are perfect for families looking to swim safely. You can also do water sports like windsurfing, kitesurfing, and paddleboarding.
‘Les cabines’ and ‘le boudha club’ beach clubs have nice restaurants on the beach. You can also rent sunloungers and sunbeds
The gruissan port also has nice restaurants, cafés and lovely boutiques. Perfect after the beach to cool down and have an ice cream while doing a bit of shopping!
narbonne plage
Narbonne plage is a 50 minute drive from La Roueyre. Nice to sunbathe and have a swim. Also has water sports including jet-skiing. Very fun seaside shops and places for food and snacks. Expect evening shows, open-air markets, and family-friendly events nearly every night during July–August.
L’Hospoitalet beach club has a lovely restaurant where you can rent sunloungers and sunbeds.
plage de Roquebrun
Roquebrun river is 35 minutes drive away from La Roueyre. Its a pebble beach on the banks of the orb river. You can do canoeing here and there are cafés and ice cream spots nearby. The village is beautiful and has a mediterranean botanical garden which is worth the visit!
The Cesse
The Cesse is the heart of Bize-Minervois—it flows right through the village and is famous for its lovely natural swimming spots
